Prospective Applicants

PhD in Clinical Psychology

(I will NOT be recruiting a student for the 2025-2026 admissions cycle)

For the doctoral program, I will NOT be recruiting a student for the 2025-2026 admissions cycle. I am always open to students reaching out to express interest; however, I am not able to meet individually with anyone before applications are reviewed.

Taking the step to pursue a doctoral degree in clinical psychology is a serious one. People who tend to do well in our admissions process  who desire to work with me are thoughtful about why they want to pursue the degree, why Fordham's program is a good fit, and why my lab in particular would be a good fit for their short and long term goals. People who work in my lab are dedicated to research in eating and weight related issues and at least one of the following: health disparities in underserved populations,  child and adolescent focused care (i.e., pediatric psychology), food insecurity, and/or intersectionality.  We like what we do & we'd want you to as well!

Information regarding Fordham University's Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program is located here.

MS in Clinical Research Methods

(I will NOT be recruiting a student for the 2025-2026 admissions cycle)

For the master's program, I will not be recruiting a student for the upcoming cycle.

Our MS program is intended to provide a solid foundation for students to apply to PhD programs in psychology or to obtain careers in research positions.* Information regarding the Master of Science degree in Clinical Research Methods is located here. Notably, should you be accepted into the MS program, you will not be able to apply to the Fordham Clinical PhD program at a later time; however, you may apply to other Fordham PhD programs in psychology or other departments.

*For my lab, I look for students interested in bolstering their applications for admissions to scientist-practioner and/or clinical science Clinical Psychology PhD programs or other mental/health focused PhD programs (e.g., counseling psychology, etc.). Students will be expected to engage in ongoing research in the lab and develop their own research questions towards disseminating work in conference presentations and/or peer-reviewed publications. If you are solely interested in applying to practice-oriented doctoral programs, my lab is not the right fit for you.

Undergraduate Research Assistants

Research assistants (RAs) in my lab are typically interested in pursuing advanced degrees in mental or physical health fields. RAs in my lab have gone on to medical school, clinical psychology doctoral programs, and social work master's programs. RAs are expected to commit 2 years to the lab (meaning the last time to apply would be in September or October of your junior year) & work up to 8 hours a week. Attendance at lab meetings is required.

RA duties may include, but are not limited to:

If you are interested in applying and can commit 2 years to the lab, please fill out this form, and we'll be in contact with you!
